Inspection Schedule • Sources are Inspected on an Annual (Subparts M, BBBBBB, WWWWWW, XXXXXX) or Biennial Basis (CCCCCC, HHHHHH) • Co-inspections for Permitted Sources Inspection/Enforcement
Annual Fees • Fees Range from $125 to $500 depending on applicable MACT(s) • Sources that hold Operating and/or Construction Permits (and pay emission fees) are not charged additional MACT fees • HHHHHH Sources that Petition for Exemption are charged a one-time $250 fee (this option has proved popular among auto-body refinish shops) Fee Assessment
Many sources are unaware of or wholly unfamiliar with EPA regulations • Answer the question “So what do I actually have to do?” for sources • Face to face meetings are preferred • High rate of compliance with emissions requirements • Many sources lacking all required records/notifications/reports • Ongoing technical assistance comprises the bulk of the workload Observations/Lessons
