5 Important facts on Nutrition • You should drink at least 8 cups of water a day. • You need 2-3 servings a day from the dairy and meat group. • Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so, always remember to have breakfast. • You should only eat a few fats and sweets each day. • You need 3-4 servings of protein a day.
Food Guide Pyramid This pyramid guides you in choosing the right foods and amounts you should eat. You should eat more grains, vegetables, and milk each day, and less of the fruits, oils, and meats. This pyramid also shows that you need daily physical activity.
Activity Taste Ask your parent or guardian for permission to try this. Fill a glass with 12 ounces of water. Add 7 teaspoons of sugar and mix. What does it taste like? One can of regular soda has about 7 teaspoons of sugar. Choose H2O!!
