Task Force: Working Together to Support Ohio's Libraries • OELMA, ALAO, OLC, State Library, INFOhio, ODE, Kent State, MCOECN and M.E. Steele Pierce, Supt. West Clermont • Focus--On Ohio’s school libraries and the impact the significant loss of certified librarians is having on schools, public, and academic libraries. • Activities: • verify data of staffing loss • meeting with State Superintendent, ODE • hold Ohio Libraries Snapshot Day INFOhio Users Council

Dual Enrollment Task Force • The Community Colleges and Regional Campus Directors presented a request to determine how OhioLINK can best support the growing number of concurrent and dual-enrollment students. • Form work group • Conduct research and evaluation to determine how OhioLINK institutions are supporting concurrent and dual-enrollment students. OHS 4th Grade Textbook • Partnership project with Ohio Historical Society http://www.ohioasamerica.org • INFOhio provides technical design expertise, website hosting and also created an interactive map for the textbook. • Several subscribed (approx. 100 teachers, 500 students) • Content aligned with standards INFOhio Users Council

CAT/CAT Jr. Summer 2011Added/Enhanced features • Delivered on September 1, 2011 • Incorporate DVC and INFOhio eBook Collection • Delivered “enabled” • Can support DVC, eBooks, Both, or neither – ask your Provider • Can apply grade band filter on eBooks – ask your Provider • Help in CAT - points to unprotected version of “Searching with CAT” from Sirsi Handbook • Summary source changed – use 520 tag if available, content enrichment if not. • Added support for new digital device material type –DIGITALDEV • Removed "You Found Titles in Categories" from results. • Improved Call Number and results message readability in CAT Jr. • Statistics report
CAT/CAT Jr.Still in the hopper for Fall • Hi - Improve user-friendliness of Electronic Resources (eBooks and others) and fix display bug in Brief Description tab. • Med - Library dropdown should be consistent on all screens • Med – Special search for reading guide • Med - Display all 526 tags in brief description • Med – Put guided searches on their own menu.
Digital Video Collection • Closed captioning grant nearly complete. • 78 titles were captioned. • Captioned videos are identified with a ‘CC’ • Can now search just for those titles if desired ~ use the Browse Videos and choose Closed Caption Titles INFOhio Users Council
