    2. Learning Aims & Outcomes Aims: To highlight the significance of HAI & the National HAI Agenda To raise awareness of the IC team structure within SAS To ensure staff have the competencies & up to date knowledge to deliver safe, clean care

Learning Outcomes: To understand the role of the health care worker in reducing the risk of HAI Describe the chain of infection & Standard Infection Control Precautions (SICPs) Describe the 5 moments for hand hygiene Awareness of transmission based precautions & when to apply these Application of the PVC insertion care bundle- for relevant staff groups Awareness of NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specifications (NCSS) & monitoring, National Hand Hygiene Campaign & Scottish Patient Safety Programme
