  3. Samoa Tourism Authority Sector Steering Committee comprises of Public, Private, and Development Partners Ensures the Efficient and Innovative Management of the Sector via STA and comprise of a full Private Sector Member Board

  4. The STA Divisions work closely with the Working Groups to drive the achievement of Measurable Sector Development Strategies that targets favourable Sustainable Tourism outputs and National development outcomes.

  5. STIA is a STA Board Initiative to: • gauge relevant current issues that requires responses to mitigate negative impacts on Tourism; • and to establish and encourage the usage of tourism standards amongst STIA members; • to establish a more well informed Sector; and • to advise on Sustainable Tourism Objectives and Frameworks

Challenges are a part of Life • Isolation from Tourist Source Markets • Capacity Building • Climate Change Mitigation, Adaptation and Understanding • Coastal Erosion Management • Industries’ Market Knowledge • Dependency on Government • Increase Tourist Arrival or Tourist Earnings • Limited Resources • Increased Energy Costs Progress is a Process!
