TOK – EE Points • The EE and TOK contributes to the overall diploma score • A maximum of three bonus points are awarded according to student’s combined performance in both the EE and TOK. • A = Work of an excellent standard • B = Work of an good standard • C = Work of an satisfactory standard • D = Work of an mediocre standard • E = Work of an elementary standard

  8. IBDP Assessment Requirements • Internal Assessment (20-30%): students complete a major “project” in each subject. Such projects are formally called an Internal Assessment because they are assessed “internally” by the subject teachers, but moderated externally by IB examiners. • IB Exams (70 - 80%): In May of the second year of the IB Diploma Programme, students will undertake IB exams. The exams themselves are “externally assessed” (graded) by trained examiners throughout the world based upon published grading criteria. • Criterion based grading system • Each subject graded 1 – 7 + TOK 3-point matrix

  9. IBDP Assessment Requirements • 7 points for each subject (6 subjects x 7 points) = 42 points PLUS • Up to 3 “bonus points” • Earned from combining scores from TOK and the EE TOTAL = 45 points maximum score • Candidates need at least 24 points to receive the IB Diploma*

Students will not receive their diploma if they receive less than 24 points, if there is a grade 1 awarded in any subject, if there are four or more grades of 3 or below, do not complete their CAS , TOK or EE requirements OTHER EXCEPTIONS WHICH WILL KEEP A CANDIDATE FROM RECEIVING THEIR DIPLOMA • Earning 28 points or more, but receiving … • more than one grade 2 in any HL class. • more than two grades 2 at SL. • less than 11 total points in their HL Classes. • less than 8 points total in their SL classes. • more than three grades of 3. • an “E” on both the Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay • Earning 24, 25, 26, or 27 points, but receiving… • a score of “2” in any HL class. • 2. two or more 2 grades in any • SL class. • less than 12 total points in their HL classes. • less than 9 total points in their SL classes. • 5. an “E” in either the Theory of Knowledge Or Extended Essay.
