  1. Jenzabar Conversion Overview: Edgewood is converting from the Jenzabar TE software product to the Jenzabar EX software product. Jenzabar Internet Campus Solution (JICS) and Infomaker reporting are also included in the upgrade.

  2. Major Changes: • Windows based interface (Good-bye “green screen”) • Infomaker Reporting • JICS portal replacing EdgeReg

  3. Three Training Areas • General Faculty Functions • Class roster • Student lookup • Grade entry • Course search / student view • Advising • Student lookup • Degree audit • Communication functions • Removing “holds” • Student view

  4. Three Training Areas (continued) • LMS (the alternative to Blackboard) • Setting up your course sites • Adding and working with content areas • Overview of available tools (gradebook, online testing, etc.) • Controlling student access to course site areas and content

  5. General Faculty Functions • All faculty should participate in or utilize one of the following available training methods: • Electronic documentation • Edgewood online walk-though demos for each feature • In-person training sessions Training Dates (1-hour sessions): • April 7th, 11th, 24th

  6. Advising • Advisors should participate in or utilize one of the following available training methods: • Electronic documentation • Edgewood online walk-though demos for each feature • In-person training sessions Training Dates (2-hour sessions) • April 10th, 21st

  7. Jenzabar Learning Management System (LMS) • All faculty interested in using the new LMS should participate in or utilize one of the following available training methods: • Electronic documentation • Edgewood online walk-though demos for each feature • In-person training sessions • Training Dates • TBD

  8. “Go-live” date: June 24th, 2008 • The database will be locked down in “read-only” mode from June 9th – June 24th. • Week of June 9th – Conversion of current data to EX • Week of June 16th – Validation of the data • June 23rd – June 24th – Continued validation and final approval.

  9. Items to watch for: • CIS Technology Newsletter • Check out the new JICS - http://community.edgewood.edu (Still in testing/development) Login using current Windows/Email username and EdgeReg PIN.
