  2. Invention of the wheel • No one knows who invented the wheel but they credited the Sumerians with the invention. They thought the wheel was invented in 8000 B. C. in Asia. The earliest one they could find goes back to 3500 B. C. and was found in Mesopotamia. The invention of the wheel led to the invention of the cart.
