Educational opportunities will increase, but at what cost? One goal of advancing technology in the delivery of course content is to increase access to course content according the individuals needs of each student while not diminishing the educational outcomes. (Vogt, Schaffner, Ribar, Chavez, 2010). Futuring, Transforming from what was to the here and now.

  7. Transforming and Shaping the Future Futuring is transforming and shaping our future of education beyond our current metaphor idealistic thoughts. Organizations educational institutes, public, and private sectors of learning must meet and exceed the existing needs of the students.

  8. Economic & Public Trends Nursing education has evolved over the years from traditional “hands on to support individual acquisition of knowledge. ( Vogt et.al., 2010) As we continue into the 21st Century , my vision indicates a need to integrate learning with immediate feedback. With this technology we are going to require the financial support of all parties. American faces a growing crisis in public postsecondary education, as an unprecedented fiscal meltdown plays out at a time of growing consensus about the urgent need to nearly double levels of degree attainment (Jones and Wellman,2009).

  9. Career College Vision This type of partnership between teachers and students will undoubtedly increase awareness in our nursing community and education institutions all the while creating an employable nurse with technological advance needed to sustain patient outcome.

  10. As Miller (2010) state, “education in this environment centers around the need to create functional communities in a new working and social environment to educate workers who can innovate and shape change in the workplace and in the broader society and to develop new critical workplace skills of inquiry, information validation, knowledge creation, problem solving, and collaboration through virtual teams. Students have the ability to correspond with the instructor via Skype or other technology that has voice and visual capabilities.

  11. Challenges and OpportunitiesforCareer College Challenges Opportunities Positive Opportunities Competitive edge with enrollment Marketing-cost effective to social media Bridging with high school Interactive classrooms and clinical sites Staff benefits The Challenges that Career College faces are: • Financial • Personnel-adaptation • Strategic plan • Industry or current market rejection • Student Satisfaction or perception

  12. Community Outreach The main objective and most beneficial aspect of Career College is Community Outreach.

  13. Call to Action • In order for Career College to be the leader in education for allied health, they must have the support from all parties involved. Financially, they must be able to afford the technology directly related to this transition.. Clinical sites have to be compatible with technology and patients’ awareness and involvement is absolutely important. The instructors must be willing to develop the necessary skills through training and student” buy in” will seal this 2017 vision.
