  13. US Personnel Flying in Foreign Aircraft Per DoD Directive 5030.61 directs NAVAIR to provide airworthiness assessments on all AC used by DoD. Airworthiness authority for USN (NAVAIR) will allow C3F to conduct missions while employing prudent risk mitigation measures when timely assessments are not possible. From Commander Third Fleet: “Participants shall operate and be transported on their own Nation’s aircraft to the maximum extent possible. When operational or training requirements involve flying in another Nations aircraft, the senior national RIMPAC representative of host and passenger Nations should be notified. All US personnel flying on foreign aircraft will require notification and approval from the CCTF BWC.” SPINS Section 1 - General Info UNCLASSIFIED
