  2. Apenas quedan 500 ejemplares en el Mediterraneo.

  3. Características • Es un mamífero. • Mide unos 3 metros. • Pesa alrededor de 300 kilos. • De pelo oscuro y vientre blanco. • También se la llama lobo marino.

  4. Alimentación • Se alimenta de peces y moluscos. • Para pescar prefiere las horas con poca luz. • No suele alejarse mucho de la costa.

  5. Reproducción • Se reproduce en cuevas para no ser molestada. • La gestación dura 10 meses. • Cada hembra solo pare una cría, a la que da de mamar durante 3 meses.

  6. Distribución • Sobre todo vive en Grecia y Turquía. • En España solo se encuentra en las islas Chafarinas, cerca de África. • Su principal amenaza es el hombre.
