Scissors Fob Ornament - Step 1 • Count out three or four threads from the stitched design • Backstitch a square (set diagonally to the stitched design) in one or two strands of floss • Use a matching or coordinating color
Scissors Fob Ornament - Step 2 • Press one side towards the wrong side along the backstitching • I just use my fingers, but you can iron it if you want to
Scissors Fob Ornament - Step 3 • Fold in half, wrong sides together, along the pressed fold
Scissors Fob Ornament - Step 4 • Whipstitch the edges together, catching only the backstitches, and not the fabric, matching stitches on each side carefully
Scissors Fob Ornament - Step 5 • Now repeat for the other side
Scissors Fob Ornament - Step 6 • Fold bottom side to wrong side along backstitching, and whipstitch the edges together, catching only the backstitches, and not the fabric
Scissors Fob Ornament - Step 7 • Fold the top side in along the backstitched line • Stuff with a little fiberfill (wadding) and whipstitch the last edge together, catching only the backstitches, and not the fabric
Scissors Fob Ornament - Step 8 • Whoops - don’t forget to add the hanger before completely whipstitching the last side • I used a twisted cord, but you may use a ribbon, or whatever you desire
Scissors Fob Ornament - Complete You can add a “tail” before stitching the bottom side together (Step 6); perhaps a tassel, or a few strung beads
