  2. PresovSelf- GoverningRegionislocatedin the northeastern part of Slovakia • itis the most populated of all regions and it is the second largest region by area • itisdividedinto 13 districts • area: 8 974 km2 – (18.3% of the area of SR) and there are 660 villages

  3. Spis castle • Slovakia has a lotofcastles. Certainlyverypopularisthe Spis castle. Withitsarea (more thanfourhectars) isconsideredasoneofthelargestcastles in CentralEurope. In 1993 thecastlewiththesurroundingswasregistered to the list of UNESCO. In May 2008 therewasmade a landscapesculpturewhichisrepresentingthelocal symbol- a horsefromCelticcoins.

  4. Tatra National Park (TANAP) • Itistheoldiestnational park in Slovakia. ThereisthehighesthillcalledtheGerlachhill and itisalsothehighesthill in Slovakia. There are more than 100 highmountainlakes. Thebiggest and thedeepestistheGreatLakeHincovo. Everyyearisthispark visited by almost 5 millionvisitors. ThereisalsolocatedtheBotanical Garden - Exposition of Tatra naturewhichincludes 270 kindsof tatra plants.

  5. Redmonastery • Thisnationalcultural monument ispopular by turists. ItislocatednearthecommunityRedmonastery in the Pieniny National Park. In historyitwastenanted by monks. Asmuseumit has beenopenedsince 1993 after a totalreconstruction. Sincethenit has a big amountofvisitorswhocouldaslotrytheunforgettablefloating by therafts on the 9 km long Dunajec.
