  1. The saga of a very long trip on the spacecraft USS Letsdothis Now Listen Slowly…

  2. Barren Mind, Captain at the helm (the “Oops Factor” hard at work) • Not known for being the brightest star in the universe, Captain Barren has sloppily piloted away from Earth’s orbit and notices that it is quickly shrinking from their sight…

  3. Lois Carmen Denominator, Co-pilot without a clue (all “Beauty” no “Brains”) • Lois is easy on the eyes... yet… not so good with the “sciencey” stuff. She too, notices the changing situation.

  4. Lois takes action(this should work out well) • Thinking the problem must be outside the ship, she gets inspired and decides to put on her foil-lined spacesuit for an EVA and a quick “look-see”. She climbs out the airlock down the really long ladder. Meanwhile the moon and satellites are speeding by…

  5. Trajectory for disaster?(not promising odds) • Once outside the ship Lois comes to some important conclusions. The “good news” seems to be that they are moving along nicely. The “bad news” seems to be that they are moving nicely… away from the moon… deeper into the solar system. And what’s that sloshing liquid sound?! Some kind of fuel problem?

  6. Lois has seen enough(and she’s pretty sure things are unraveling) • Finishing her EVA, Lois keeps trying (but can’t seem) to get the airlock door closed. After repeatedly slamming it she eventually succeeds. Is that Venus going by? “Shouldn’t we turn around?”, she says.

  7. New neighbors?(welcome to the neighborhood) • “Better get comfortable… we’re in for a long ride.”, responds Barren. Lois then hears a new garbled transmission and asks, “Oh, great! Now who’s calling? It’s not Earth...”
