Functional definitions Integrated Stack – a repeatable tested group of products working together in tandem to support an application or portfolio of applications (Examples include vBlock, vSpex, Flexpod, etc.) Orchestration – refers to the ability to the conduct multiple pieces of hardware or software (instruments) to deliver the concert of services to support an application Automation – usually coupled with orchestration, this refers to the ability to automatically kick off different workflows based on triggering events (for example, a request for a new server, a utilization threshold that is met, etc.) Cloud computing – a pool of services (usually applications, compute and/or storage resources) available on-demand through broad network access allowing for rapid scalability and metered usage. Hybrid-Cloud – coordinated services delivered over a mixture of public and private cloud offerings.
