  3. What is Student Legal Services? • Student Legal Services is a full service non-profit law firm that represents the students at Kent State University.

  4. WHO CAN USE SLS All degree seekingstudents in good standing attending Kent State University’s main campus are enrolled in the legal service plan each academic semester.

  5. COSTS TO STUDENTS • The $9 Participation Fee (per semester) paid with the student’s tuition Covers All Attorney Fees • This is the cheapest insurance with the greatest benefits students will ever purchase. Typically only very wealthy people can afford to hire an attorney on retainer. Moreover, most private attorneys charge in the range of $150 - $200 per hour for individual cases. With SLS, students have the opportunity to hire an attorney for the cost of a few cups of coffee. • SLS is totally non-profit. SLS is here to help the students at Kent State University.

  8. OFFICE HOURS • 9:00am – 5:00pm • Monday through Friday • SLS is closed Saturdays, Sundays, all University holidays, and when classes are not in session
