In the 2013 Cohort Spotlight, we have linked educator preparation reform initiatives with other state priorities to create coherence. By focusing on providing explicit instruction and support for struggling learners, our goal is to improve student outcomes. Our current initiatives include increasing rigor and readiness for new teachers, offering professional development on evidence-based practices, and analyzing program curricula to enhance literacy and writing education. It is crucial to regularly assess our progress, adapt timelines, and measure the impact for continuous improvement.
