  3. The Rhodesian Bush War 1964-1979. First Phase 1964-1972, Second Phase 1972-1977, Final Phase 1977-1979 Attacks began on white settlers in 1961 and black Africans who identified with them. National Front Zimbabwe African People’s Union – ZAPU Zimbabwe African National Union – ZANU – more inward looking, leftist, pan-Africanist, included Mugabe. Both of these had military wings who went into hiding and got training in Zambia and Mozamibque. Guerrilla warfare.
