What is Full Body Presence? • It is the ability to feel all parts of your body, with a good flow of healthy energy moving through you. It also includes a connection to your inner and outer healthy resources and a good sense of healthy boundaries. Full Body Presence is the foundation of a strong therapeutic presence, and this is a key skill that helps us become master practitioners at whatever you do.
Benefits of Full Body Presence • A sense of steadiness in times of stress • The ability to think more clearly, thus making your decision making better • The ability to be more effective in your actions/work/practices • Healthy boundaries that deepen life-giving connections • Improved discernment as to when you are losing energy and burning out
How do we do this? Grounding: is the vital skill of being able to connect through your feeling senses, in a visceral way, to the earth under you or any other healthy resource. Engaging your curiosity, setting your intention, and filling up with nourishing sensation gives you a full container, and a strong presence. This full container gives you the fuel you need to heal, grow, and create in your life.
Exact Steps • Sit in a relaxed manner • Have good back support • Rest your feet flat on the floor • Engage your curiosity, your openness to discovery by setting the intention to let your judgmental mind rest for a while • Close your eyes, so we can begin the exploration
