Goals for Wave 1 • Each hospital will show that > 90% of children ≤ 1 year of age will be in “safe sleep” position (own crib, nothing in crib and on back) on random audits by the end of the 10-month project. • > 90% patients 1 year of age and younger will leave the hospital with information on safe sleep practices.

  3. Results • February 2014 – January 2015 • 5,343 total audits were performed • Observed to be in appropriate safe sleep • Baseline • 112/548 (20.4%, range 0–25.1%) • End of collaborative • Improved to 2925/4795 (61.0%, range 30–76.6%) • One institution increased 25.1 to 76.6%
