Francis Report • Draft action plan developed and being presented to Executive, Governing Body and Quality, Patient Safety and Risk Committee with a view to consulting and being an iterative plan for people to feed in comments and views in order to develop a final plan for presentation in September • Francis Report action plan agenda item at 26 September Local Engagement Board at the Customs House
Healthwatch update • Chair and Board recruited/ propose new members • Engage new people providing volunteer expertise • Healthwatch Team in place / Business manager recruited starts August 2013 • LINk Information event held • Healthwatch launch event commenced • Stakeholder and partner meetings on going • First board meeting held • Met with NHS quality surveillance group • Chair attended Healthwatch England conference • Regional performance framework meeting held
Key Priorities • Establish and maintain key health and social care partnerships across South Tyneside • Agree clear terms of reference, key messages and priorities for: • Public • Health Professionals • Voluntary Sector • Local Authority / Health and Well Being Board • Healthwatch England/ CQC
Patient Stories • Now have 19 patient stories • May LEB led to further stories from CAST and the Stroke Association • Carer attending the 17 July Quality Committee • Director of Nursing, Quality and Safety has taken Howard’s story to South Tyneside Foundation Trust • Ongoing process
