Centroamérica Octubre2012 Security strategy in Central America • LESSONS LEARNT TO SHARE • Social prevention of violence and the inclusion of NNAJ is a subject that exceeds boundaries and is therefore important to the transnational work of the causes of violence and the proposals and measures for action. • There are numerous good practices and programmes developed in the region for social prevention of violence and the inclusion of NNAJ but it is necessary that these measures will become integral public policies for the promotion and protection of the rights of NNAJ. • A key issue for public policies for social prevention of violence and inclusion of NNAJ have an adequate impact is the active participation of its protagonists and beneficiaries, both from the design phase up to the formulation of policies that take into account gender mainstreaming.
