  4. Food Web Explanation First,producerssuch as grass, wildflowers, and algae take in energy from the sun. Then primary consumers such as Rabbits, Whitetail deer, and fish eat the producer. The Primary consumers are hunted by the Secondary consumers, such as wolves, bears, and foxes. Last, decomposers such as mushrooms break down their bodies when they die. The food chain repeats.
