Personal ANALYSIS ON VIDEO Renee Bailey
What I learnt from the video: strengths • -promotional sticker: I thought it helped to add professional status to the digipak, going beyond conventions and boosted its realism.-costume: it was consistent from the video, helping to familiarise and associate the artists' with this look.-digipak in general was a strength because it challenged and follow conventions and was, in my opinion, my best piece.-visual links between all three products-appeals to and is appropriate for audience-fun, lighthearted energetic atmosphere which makes it more appropriate for target audience.-performance was strong, energetic.-conventional advert: follows and includes all the necessary and expected conventions.
What I have learnt: weaknesses • Having listened to all the audience feedback, I have learned ways on which I could improve my products and has altered my perspective on them. If I did it again I would have:- filmed in more locations as it seemed to be the one thing most people commented on and I could see how the location could get a little repetitive in the video.-Increase the amount of close ups used as it is conventional and essentially does its job - promote the artist.-i would have used a clearer better picture for the advert.-would have done advert in A5One thing that wasn't mentioned which I think could have been improved is the cuts. If I repeated the video, I would have cut more frequently as there is a distinct, prominent beat that could be cut to more often than it was. This could just be me 'nit-picking' due to the fact that I have seen the video so many times.
