Girls and women like to decorate their hands with beautiful patterns using mendhi paste (henna)
Zakatul-fitr • -Giving money to the poor people • at the end of ramzan month, • Must be given before salatuleid. • The amount of zakatul-fitr is “1 SA” (2176 grams)of dates/barley or money equivalent to it • zakatul-fitr is binding (compulsory) on every Muslim
Salat-ul-eid • The time for salat-ul-eid starts when the sun rises • Muslims offer prayer in congregation. Only two rak’ahs of eid on open places or in mosque are offered
After prayers everyone wishes each other a huge ‘EID MUBARAK’ ‘HAPPY EID’
- Yummy sweets and desserts are then eaten to mark the occasion - Eid cards, gifts and money are often exchanged
