  3. What narrative is given to us , and from this what do we expect the rest of the film's narrative will be from the information that we have been given? • Heroic – saving people • Unknown – something it causing leaks • Information – interest in the mystery

  4. Who is the target audience for this film, how do we know this from the opening scene? • Target audience – 15+ • Male – unknown monster • Lower and Upper class

  5. How is the genre of the film set up in the opening scene? What key conventions have been used? • Fast pace and chaotic • There is a hero and an issue • Male is the only gender represented • People needing saving

What cameras work has been used and why?What sound is used and how does it effect the narrative and characters?What editing techniques have been used and why? • Close up shots of faces, injuries and buttons • Diegetic sounds of water flooding and a alarm going off • Cross cutting editing to shows chaos

  7. Do you think this is a successful opening scene? • I think that it was a very dramatic opening scene, but it wasn’t very clear of what they are doing or giving much information about the current state.
