  20. Workflow in Foundation • Foundation has workflow, BUT • “Three state” only • Relationships between tasks & items r manual • ITPro understanding required to use SPD • Good for 1 step operations • Complexity++ is less appropriate If its complex, get a 3rd party app

  21. Search in Foundation • Foundation has Search, BUT • No scopes • SQL Full-Text indexing only • Cannot federate from external sources • No custom search web parts • No search applications • No Best Bets / Sorting Can’t find what you’re looking for?

  22. Content Management in Foundation • Foundation has Document Libraries, BUT • No CQWP = no aggregation • How do you tag content? • Columns vsTags • Duplication of content • No Document Sets • No Content Organiser CQWP = U need it!

  23. Branding in Foundation • You can brand Foundation, BUT • No publishing framework • Each site is isolated thus • Each master page updated individually • Maintenance++ • No page layouts = reliance on IT for pages SharePoint is gr8 if used correctly
