Creating the Cartridge • Keep a folder on computer labeled OKRM • Folders within OKRM are labeled by two-month period (JanFeb2014, MarApr2014, etc) • Use this folder for all magazines collected and produced in last two months
In OKRM folder collect and store: • Magazines on cartridge mailed from other libraries • Copy magazines to folder • Change filenames to be consistent with NLS’ naming convention. Helps to quickly identify magazines: womans-day_2014-01 • Newsweek and Reader’s Digest downloaded from APH • Downloaded at end of two-month period to get most recent issues • Change filenames (readers-digest_2014-01) • Magazines produced in our studio
Introduction Message • Create your own intro message as you would a dtb • File arrangement on cartridge • Intro message files copied to root of cartridge • Put our own magazines first. Use folders labeled 00001, 00002, etc. (Windows will locate these at top of list) for OLBPH titles • Rest of titles listed alphabetically, and issues are grouped by date in filename, so they will play from oldest to newest.
