  2. The FPLS • Federal child support system used to support child support enforcement agencies for the purpose of: • Locating parents • Identifying employment benefits and assets • Establishing paternity • Setting and modifying child support orders • Enforcing support obligations

  11. SVES Title II Pending Claims • Participants who file for retirement or disability • Daily match with FCR • Data is not stored • Send income withholding order • SSA will hold IWO until awarded SSA Paid out $57.8M in March 2010

  21. Facebook: Types of Accounts • Public Account/Business Account: Rub is a Fan • Personal Accounts: Rub is a Friend or you can poke someone. • Fictitious Accounts: Same as the personal account

  22. Business Accounts • Designed to provide information about the office • Clients able to contact us for information • Most people do not know you are looking for them so using this type of account can be ok • Problem: Their site is listed as private. • Will they accept you as a friend?

  23. Personal Accounts • Can search for individuals • Problems arise when the person marks their account as private • Ways to get the person to befriend you • Ability for them to see your personal information • Threats from unhappy individuals

  24. Fictitious Accounts • Controversial issues about false information • Need to keep the information as real as possible • Using a picture on the account is helpful • Keeps people from getting your personal information

  25. Information Available • People list their hometown, High School, day and month of birth • Jobs and average income • Truck driver bragging about all the stops he made across the US • Pictures of assets • People bragging about their occupations and successes

Policy for Each Account • Twitter prohibits it’s users from sending deceptive or false information • Linkedin is for professionals and they require that you do not send or download information that will be injurious or harmful to others • My Space requires that all the information placed on the site is truthful, factual, and trustworthy • Facebook specifies that users will not provide false personal information
