  2. Commentary • This exemplar presents just enough evidence to meet the criteria at this level. Although the harmonic palette and ideas are quite simple the student has layered three parts reasonably successfully. There is a sense of logical development right from the start although the piece finishes rather abruptly. Both the theme and the increase in texture density at bar five give a sense of progression and development.
