  1. Foot Tai-Yang Bladder Channel By: Dr. Chuanxin Wang, DAOM, AP

  2. UB-1, Jing-Ming • Location: On the face, in the depression slightly above the inner canthus.

  3. Indications: Conjunctival congestion, ophthalmalgia, itching of the paropia, epiphora, night blindness, monoehromatism, dizziness, myopia. • Method: Ask the patient to close his eyes when pushing gently the eyeball to the lateral side. Puncture slowly perpendicularly 0.3-0.7 cunalong the orbital wall. It is not advisable to twist of lift and thrust the needle vigorously. To avoid bleeding, press the puncturing site for a few seconds after withdrawal of the needle. Moxibustion is forbidden.

  4. Regional anatomyVasculature: The angular artery and vein, deeper, superiorly, the ophthalmic artery and vein.Innervation: Superficially, the supratrochlear and infratrochlear nerves; deeper, the branches of the oculomotor nerve, the ophthalmic nerve.

  5. UB-2, Cuan-Zhu • Location: On the face, in the depression of the medial end of the eyebrow, at the supraorbital notch.

  6. Indications: Headache, dizziness, orbital pain. blindness, epiphora, conjunctival congestion and of eyelid, optic atrophy.Method: Puncture subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 cun, or prick with three-edged needle to cause bleeding.Regional anatomyVasculature: The frontal artery and vein.Innervation: The medial branch of the frontal nerve.

  7. UB-3, Mei-Chong • Location: On the head, directly above Cuanzhu(UB2), 0.5 cun above the anterior hairline, on the line connecting Shenting(DU24) and Qucha(UB4)

  8. Indications: Headache, dizziness, epilepsy, stuffy nose.Method: Puncture subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 cun.Regional anatomyVasculature: The frontal artery and vein.Innervation: The medial branch of the frontal nerve.

  9. UB-4, Qu-Cha • Location: On the head, 0.5 cun directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline and 1.5 cun lateral t to the midline, at the junction of the medial third and middle third of the line connecting Shenting(DU24) and Touwei(ST8).

  10. Indications: Headache, stuffy nose. epistaxis, blurred vision, vertigo.Method: Puncture subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 cun, Moxibustionis applicable.Regional anatomyVasculature: The frontal artery and vein.Innervation: The lateral branch of the frontal nerve.

  11. UB-5, Wu-Chu • Location: On the head, 1 cun directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline and 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.

  12. Indications: Headache, vertigo, epilepsy, clonic convulsion.Method: puncture subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 cun, Moxibustionis applicable.Regional anatomyVasculature: The frontal artery and vein.Innervation: The lateral branch of the frontal nerve.

  13. UB-6, Cheng-Guang • Location: On the head, 2. 5 cun directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline and 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.

  14. Indications: Headache, vertigo, stuffy nose.Method: Puncture subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 cun.Regional anatomyVasculature: The anastomotic network of the frontal artery and vein, the superficial temporal artery and vein, the occipital artery and vein.Innervation: The anastomotic branch of the lateral branch of the frontal nerve and the great occipital nerve.

  15. UB-7, Tong-Tian • Location: On the head,4 cun directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline and 1.5 cun lateral to the midline.

  16. Indications: Headache, dizziness, stuffy nose. epistaxis, rhinorrhea with turbid discharge.Method: Puncture subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 cun. Moxibustion is applicable.Regional anatomyVasculature: The superficial temporal artery and vein and the occipital artery and vein.Innervation: The branch of the great occipital nerve.

  17. UB-8, Luo-Que • Loeation: On the bead. 5.5 cun directly above the midpoint of the anterior hairline and I. 5 cun lateral to the midline.

  18. Indications: Vertigo, blurred vision, tinnitus, manic-depressive psychosis.Method: Puncture subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 cun.Regional anatomy Vasculature: The branches of the iccipitalartery and vein.Innervation: The branch of the great occipital nerve.

  19. UB-9, YU-Zhen • Location: On the occiput, 2. 5 cun directly above the midpoint of the posterior hairline and l. 3 cun lateral to tile midline, in tile depression on the level of the upper border of the external occipital protuberance.

  20. Indications: Headache radiating to the, nape. dizziness, ophthalmalgia, stuffy nose.Method: Puncture subcutaneously 0.3-0.5 cun. Moxibustion is applicable.Regional anatomyVasculature: The occipital artery and vein.Innervation: The branch of the great occipital nerve.

  21. UB-10, Tian-Zhu • Location: On the nape, in the depression of the lateral border of the trapezius muscle and 1. 3 cun lateral to the midpoint of the posterior hairline.

  22. Indicatons: Headache, stuffy nose. Sore-throat, stiffness of nape. pain in the shoulder and back.Method: Puncture perpendicularly 0.5-0.8 cun.Regional anatomyVasculature: The occipital artery and vein.Innervation: The great occipital nerve.

  23. UB-11, Da-Zhu • Location: On the back. below the spinous process of the 1st thoracic vertebra. 1.5 cun lateral to the posterior midline. • Hui-Meeting Ponit Of bone

  24. Indications: Headache. pain in the nape and back aching pain in the scapular region, cough, fever, stiffness of neck and nape.Method: Puncture obliquely 0.5-0.7 cun. Moxibustion is applicable.Regional anatomyVasculature: The medial cutaneous branches of the posterior branches of the intercostal artery and vein.Innervation: The medial cutaneous branches of the posterior ramification of the first and second thoracic nerves; deeper, their lateral cutaneous branches.

  25. UB-12, Feng-Men, The Gate of Wind • Location: On the back. below the spinous process of the 2nd thoracic vertebra. 1.5 cun lateral to the posterior midline.
