Seymore Papert • Born Feb. 29, 1928 • Attended the University of Witwatersrand • Received a BA in 1949 and a Ph.D in 1952 • Had the first lab for children to use technology • Considered the worlds greatest expert on technology • Principal for One Laptop Per Child http://www.papert.org/ Back to Contents

  7. Papert’s Observations • Observe the learning by giving subjects certain manipulatives to solve problems. • He would see if they were able to get the problem right using the manipulatives they were provided with. Back to Contents

  8. Conclusion • He was a very influential man. • Has created many theories that are being put in place in many classrooms. • He pushed to have one laptop per student for schools. • His goal was to integrate technology into every school setting. Back to Contents
