1. March 22, 2013 Mrs. Barnosky’s Classroom News • We are starting to run low on snacks in our classroom. If you are able to donate a snack, we would love it! • We have started a new classroom library. Students are able to check out a book whenever they have free time. They can keep it as long as they want and read it as many times as they want. When they finish with a book, they can bring it back and switch it for a new one. • We are going to MSUB after Spring Break to see the Beauty and the Beast put on by their Theatre Department. Please send 1 nonperishable food item with your child as that is what they are asking for admission. We are just finishing up our unit on telling time in math, and will be moving on to some fun jelly bean math projects next week! We are continuing to work on the sentence fluency trait in our writing, and are beginning to recognize sentences that are short and choppy. We are working on re-reading our own writing to make sure that it flows smoothly. • March 27th- STANGS Assembly • March 28th- Spring Break begins • April 4th- Field trip to Beauty and the Beast • April 12th - MSUB Field Trip/tour-details to come 
