Alle indre elementer skal være adskilt fra de ytre. Det benyttes optimal lydisolering fra omgivelsene og optimal innvendig absorpsjon. Dører og vinduer må være dobbelte og ikke være i kontakt. Inntak og uttak av ventilasjon må forbindes via lydfelle. Tilliggende kontrollrom bygges på samme måte, eller deles av ved å bryte lydbroer i innvendig konstruksjoner.
