Application Form • Read the description of the apprenticeship and save a copy for future reference. • Ensure you meet the “must be able to demonstrate” requirementsand give examples. • Give examples of where you might meet the “key learning areas”. • Also, give examples if you meet any of the “ideally will be able to demonstrate”.

Application Form • Use a computer/tablet rather than mobile phone. • Enter information accurately e.g. email address. • Include all your qualifications. • Start new sentences with a capital letter, use paragraphs, use punctuation marks. • Use spellcheck. • Read it, amend it if necessary, check it again before sending. • Print off and keep a copy.

  4. Supporting Information • This is your chance to sell yourself. Tell us what you know and can do. • For each ‘key learning area’, try to give a relevant example of what you have done or know about. • Short sentences/paragraphs are easy to follow. • Write one “key learning area” per paragraph and state the key information in the first sentence. • Try not to begin each sentence with ‘I’. • Also, research what the organisation is about.

  5. What do we mean by a relevant example? If applying for a Sport Apprenticeship, relevant examples might be: • You’ve been a team member of a local team. • You were captain for a school team. • Your explanation of nutrition and diet and how it affects the body. • You are good at showing and explaining how to do something. • You enjoy meeting and helping people.

  6. Remember • Learn about the role. • Learn about the organisation. • Record all your qualifications. • Give examples relevant to the apprenticeship. • Use punctuation and spellcheck. • Keep a copy.
