  1. Eco schools Presentation Welcome to the world Of

  2. Clear Out the Pond • We are getting volunteers to come into school to help. • We are getting plants for the pond. • We need to put a sign up for safety.

  3. Bird boxes • We will clean old bird boxes and keep feeding the birds. • We will put a few more bird boxes up. • We need games for the birds. • We need to give them some water.

  4. RSPB Birdwatch • We joined in the RSPB birdwatch!

  5. The world's biggest birdwatch • The RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch is the world's biggest birdwatch. The 2003 event was held on 25-26 January with the Big Schools Birdwatch events running the week before and after this weekend. So far, over 300,000 participants have taken part, 75,000 via the RSPB website! • Our bird records will help build up a detailed picture of how our common garden birds are doing. The RSPB are working on the results now and will publish them on their website in the last week of March. • The RSPB said, “Many thanks for supporting this event.”

  6. Untidy School • We must tidy up rubbish. • We should recycle some rubbish. • We need more bins. • A Compost bin. • We need to save Money.

  7. A garden for the school • We are planting a wildlife garden • We will grow organic vegetables • Improve Environment including pond and woodland area. • Grow herbs and a vegetable garden, fence around. • Talk in Infant Assembly.

  8. Outside Help • We are inviting environmental organisations. The Wiltshire Wildlife Trust will be coming to our school! • Save recycle. Someone from Volunteer Action is coming to talk about recycling. • We are applying for a grant from Eco Schools.

  9. Information • Eco newsletter. • We appeared in the Evening Advertiser, Internal Affairs and Mr Phoenix-Stone and Mrs Meah-Sims were live on BBC Swindon Sound, our local radio station!! • Year 4 group will be joining the Eco Club! • We welcome our new members and Miss Sainsbury. Peter Heaton-JonesKeeping his finger on the pulse of day-to-day events.

  10. We are planting two butterfly gardens!

  11. All that hard work was worth it!

  12. We are entering a Sunflower competition with ‘The Compost Association’!! Here we are planting our seeds!
