24 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and theirfaces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair ofwomen, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they hadbreastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound oftheir wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there werestings in their tails; and their power was to hurt men five months. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomlesspit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue has his name Apollyon. One woe is past, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. 6th Trumpet And the sixth angel sounded… And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which isbefore God, saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, “Loosethe four angels which are bound in thegreat river Euphrates.” And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen was twice a myriad myriad: and I heard the number of them. And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads ofthe horses were as the heads of lions; and out of theirmouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. (Continued…) 25 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and bythe smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tailswere like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. And the rest of the men who were not killed by these plaguesrepented not of the works of their hands, that they should notworship demons, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk. Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, norof their fornication, nor of their thefts. Temple And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying,“Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and themthat worship therein. But the court which is outside the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holycity shall they tread under foot forty- two months.”
26 Two Witnesses And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standingbefore the God of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouths, and devours their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he mustin this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in thedays oftheir prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. Two Witnesses Killed And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, whichspiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord wascrucified. And they of the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations shallsee their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not permittheir dead bodies to be put in graves. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, andmake merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these twoprophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell uponthose who saw them. 27 Come Up Here! And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, “Come up here!”. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; andtheir enemies beheld them. And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, “Come up here!”. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; andtheir enemies beheld them. Great Earthquake And the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth part of the cityfell, and seven thousand men died in the earthquake: andthe remnant were terrified, and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe is past, and behold, the third woe comes quickly. And the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth part of the cityfell, and seven thousand men died in the earthquake: andthe remnant were terrified, and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe is past, and behold, the third woe comes quickly.
7th Trumpet And the seventh angel sounded… And there were great voices in heaven, saying,“The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms ofour Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever.”And the twenty-four elders, who sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, saying:“We give You thanks, OLord God Almighty, Who is, and was, and is to come;because You have taken to You Your great power, and have reigned. And thenationswere angry, and Your wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should give reward to Your servants the prophets, and to the saints; andthem that fear Your name, small and great, andshould destroy them which destroy the earth.” And the temple of God was opened inheaven, and there was seen in Histemple the ark of His testament:andthere were lightnings, andvoices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and greathail. 28 War in Heaven And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought againstthe dragon, and the dragon fought with his angels, and prevailednot: neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world: he was cast outonto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now is come salvation, andstrength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of hisChrist: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accusedthem before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the wordof their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death. Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! For the devilhas come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knowsthat he has but a short time. Satan Cast Onto the Earth And when the dragon saw that he was cast onto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that shemight fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourishedfor a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after thewoman, that he might cause her to becarried away in the flood;the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, andswallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went to makewar with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandmentsof God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Here is the patience of the saints, those who keep the commandmentsof God, and the faith of Jesus. 29 144 000 Redeemed And I looked, and lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with Him a hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father's namewritten on their foreheads. And I heard a sound from heaven, as the sound of many waters, and as the sound of a great thunder: and I heard the sound ofharpist playing their harps. And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and beforethe four living creatures, and the elders: and no man could learnthat song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, which wereredeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiledwith women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow theLamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
