Brainstorming • Gather the points you think important • Review the Subject • Jogs memory • Solid Background • Helpful if required to answer questions • Better to have too much information at this time
Purpose • Establish your reason for speaking • inform / entertain / persuade ? • Analyse your purpose • What reaction / action do you want • Write down your purpose • Make it clear and precise
People : Who are your audience • Tailor you material to your audience • Consider their : • Technical / Social Level • Needs from your talk • Connection with your work • GET TO KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE !
Power Points • From you wealth of information : • Pick out a few points and build you case upon them • Separate the facts from opinion • Use lesser facts to enhance the case or for questions later
