  3. About artic foxes • Mammal. • Artic foxes have white fur in the winter. • There fur is mostly brown in the summer. • They have thick fur.

  4. COOL FACTS • Artic foxes have white fur in the winter so they can blend in and stay warm. • There fur is mostly brown in summer so they can blend in and stay cool. • They have thick fur so they can stay warm in the winter.

  5. WHAT THEY DO • Dig dens. • They hunt alone.

  6. SMART • Digging dens helps it to hide from danger. • They hunt alone so they can get more.

  7. ABOUT THEM • They inherited their white fur from their ancestors. • Some artic foxes live in the artic and most foxes don’t.

  8. LUCKY • If they live in the artic they will have less food than if they live in the country. • They must be able to defend themselves so that they can get food.

  9. LEARNED BEHAVIOR • Their parents teach them how to eat at a young age. • They also teach them how to hunt so that they can feed their own family. Then when they get older they can teach their own kids.
