BASIC EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION (DIAL-UP or ISDN) • Determine requirements and purpose/objective of teleconf program, including phases of implementation in a short and long term strategies • Identify basic video conferencing telecom equipment configuration (hardware and software, server software for MSU; regular stations, monitors, and software for remote locations) • Identify sources for equipment • Submit request for approval/budget dollars • Generate procurement documents (preferably GSA) • Order conditioned telephone lines for MSU and remote locations • Accept all equipment at MSU; check and burn-in; install MSU configuration; configure, test and fine-tune at MSU before deployment. • Install 1st remote configuration at remote location; train personnel in use of equipment • Install 2nd remote location • Install 3rd remote location 4 wks 1 wk 3 wks 1 wk 1 wk ?
