Cost Books • Jon Sandberg is leading internal reviews of ALL AGS Project Cost books next week. Cooperation is expected. • He and reviewers picked by him will review the cost books as outside reviewers. AGS RSVP Weekly Meeting K.Brown
Cost Status • Project Management: Up from 2.5% to > 5%. Now $625k + 20% contingency. • 25 MHz: After more review, significant pieces were missing • Travel costs for CFI • Various smaller components for Driver amplifier and interface systems. • Modifications to Bldg. 929 ( +$211k direct) • High level instrumentation • Testing and commissioning • R&D funds (+$250k) Bottom line: previously direct cost was $780k + 20 % contingency now direct cost is $1.49 M + 31.5 % contingency AGS RSVP Weekly Meeting K.Brown
CFI Status • A10 kickers: • Delivery projection 4/1/08 • 25 MHz system: • Delivery projection 10/1/08, earliest. Possibly as late as 4/1/09. 25 MHz installation will occur in shutdown of 2009. AGS RSVP Weekly Meeting K.Brown
Schedules • All schedules are built (in project) • This week a careful review of schedules took place to make some corrections • Ring work now occurs only during RHIC shutdowns • Procurements show date of commitment and delivery • System level milestones are being added • Project supervisions overlap with supervised work • WBS dictionary entries are being added to project files • Small detail; make sure schedules include time for reviews (project reviews, safety reviews, etc.) • Still to do (today): review current project files and compare to current milestones.
