  1. AA Unity, Our Part In It And Why It Matters Prepared by the District 0340 Public Information Committee

  2. The AA Service Structure • In Central New York • Around Syracuse and • in District 0340

  3. Syracuse and surrounding areas are part of Area 47 — Central New York. Area 48 HMB Area 50 WNY Area 49 SENY

  4. The unity of Alcoholics Anonymous is the most cherished quality our Society has. . . . We stay whole, or A.A. dies. — TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 129

  5. Area 47 includes eight clusters of districts — the 100s through the 800s. 700s 800s 300s 100s 400s 200s 600s 500s

  6. Area 47 meets each month at Area Assembly in a different host district. 700s 800s 300s 100s 400s 200s 600s 500s

  10. Groups elect a GSR, a General Service Representative, to carry the group’s informed conscience to the District and the Area.

  11. DCMs, District Committee Members, meet with GSRs at district meetings. DCMs serve the groups by relaying information to and from the Area Delegate.
