  1. Carbon Footprint Reduction By Ashley Willis

At work. • You can help reduce your carbon footprint at work when for instants you need to print or copy instead of using different pieces or paper use both sides of the paper. • Reuse items such as envelopes, boxes and paper clips. • Create a bulletin board for the employee’s to read instead of sending out individual copies to each employee. • In the break room use reusable water bottles instead of paper or Styrofoam cups.

  3. At work. • At the end of the day unplug power strips and lights • Instead of using paper towels in the bathrooms use constant cloth towels.

  4. Transportation • Instead of making a ton of little trips make one big trip to get all the thing’s you need. • Car pooling • Use a bike, public transportation, or walking to help save gas. • By a hybrid vehicle or a more fuel efficient car. • If you drive when the traffic is not heavy then your saving more gas when making less stops. Plan out your driving times and don’t drive during high peak times.

  5. For you as an individual • Turn off electric products when they are not in use. Lights, TV, DVD, wi-fiect.. • Turn down the heat or AC by like one or two degrees • Turn down the water heating setting by one or two degrees also • Turn off the heat or AC when no one is home. • Hang out the washing to dry rather than tumble drying it

At home • Switch to more efficient light bulbs. • Recycle and separate your paper from plastic when you throw things in the garbage • Get a energy efficient fridge instead of an old fridge • Instead of doing little loads of wash and dishes do completely full loads to help save water. • Do your weekly shopping all at one time • Buy organic and local food’s • Use a reusable water bottle instead of plastic water bottles plastic water bottles are a huge carbon footprint.

  7. At home • Use cold water in the dish washer’s and the washer to help conserving water. • Install thermostatic valves on your radiators • Reduce the consumption of meat
