They strengthened the city leaving the Great walls that are up to this day, behind. • Rhodes once belonged to the Turks in 1522 until 1912 until Italy took over

  4. Known for • Rhodes has the oldest tourist history in Greece • the famous Colossus of Rhodes, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
