JA-YE Europe ENTERPRISE CHALLANGE • The JA-YE Europe Enterprise Challenge brings together the best student companies at the post-secondary level (aged 18-30) from all across Europe. The Graduate Programfocuses on developing viable and sustainable business ideas with real investment potential—it goes beyond the basics of doing business and challenges participants to find a truly marketable product or service.The financing of and attracting financiers to the enterprise are key. • The main aim of the event is to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship - the focus is: • “Would you invest your money in this enterprise?” • “Will this enterprise add value for shareholders and its wider circle of stakeholders?” • JA Bulgaria cooperates with JA-YE Europe throughout the planning and implementation of the event

THE JUDGING PANEL • The judging panel will consist of six (6) judges in order to ensure as much objectivity as possible .objectivity • Judges should include: • One member from the host member “nation” • One member of the European board • The remainder from industry/business/community/EU • The Chair: • Should have judging experience at the European level • Will have the casting vote in case of a tie
CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION OF JUDGES • Judges must: • have an excellent command of both conversational and business English • be ready to follow the rules as stipulated by JA - YE • have an interest in the development of young people • be familiar with the different functions of business • Possible Profiles for Judges - but not limited to: • Business people in general • Industry leaders (services, manufacturing, etc) • Entrepreneurs • Investors , Bankers, Venture capitalists • Business Analysts
Stages of the COMPETITION and judging criteria There are three stages to the competition • Investment proposal • 4 minutes stage presentation • 4 minutes sales pitch+ 8 minutes panel interviews with Judges - Dragons’ Den The pitch is for the students to try and sell their idea to get the judges to “invest” their virtual money in their company
Exhibition There will be an exhibition space where all the companies will set up stands. This allows the judges to interact informally with the companies, ask questions, as well as give the public an opportunity to see and talk to the participants. Q&A at the stands will not be considered a formal part of the judging – this will only be a chance for the judges to ask for more information.
PROGRAMME JULY 01 • Arrivals by 12:00 - All participants will be picked up at the airport • 12:30 – 14:30 Setting up stands ( next to HP premises) • 15:00 – 17:30 Official opening (Right Rental tent) Stands open for public and juries (Right Rental tent) Welcome reception (Right Rental tent) • 17:30 – 18:00 Dismantling stands • 20:00 – 22:30 Dinner for participants (Right Rental tent) JULY 02 • 08:30 – 10:30 Stage presentations rehearsals (HP premises) • 11:00 – 13:00 Presentations in front of the jury (HP premises) • 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch (Right Rental tent) • 14:30 – 17:00 Panel interviews with Jury (HP premises) • 20:00 – 23:30 Awards ceremony & dinner (Historical building of Military Club, Royal Hall) JULY 03 • Cultural experiences of Bulgaria: trip to the countryside with picnic, wine tasting and activities for participating students JULY 04 • Departure day / Optional programme
