Current FCC RF safety policy leaves the public and wildlife unprotected from the hazards of long-term, low-intensity exposures. • The U.S. has no Federal mechanism to protect human and wildlifehealth from adverse biological impacts of long-term exposure to RF radiation emitted from broadcast, radar, cell phone and personal wireless antennas.
RF Radiation Pollution is a Public Health Issue • FCC is not a health agency. • FCC RF Safety limits: • Come from private industry groups • Provide protection only from heating effects. • Allow more radiation than many countries. • Ignore all studies showing non-thermal biological effects. • Are based on studies published before 1986.
