I want to help students grow and become individuals who know their rights and responsibilities as citizens. I want to help them gain the contextual background and understand why things are the way they are and how they came to be that way. So they can lead us into the future…

And Behavioral: Positive Behavioral Intervention System
LEVEL 1: -All students will have support in class. -Instill in children appropriate classroom behaviors -Use early intervention. -Problems addressed before they escalate. -Consistent enforcement of these rules (through both positive and negative reinforcement) -Rules, routines, and physical arrangements of the classroom will not be compatible with misbehaviors. though it will always be framed positively.
LEVEL 2: -Some students will need more intervention. -Students placed in small group setting for more intensive intervention. -For students at risk for serious behavior problems. -The goal is to understand and reduce the frequency of problem behaviors.
LEVEL 3: -A few students will need individual attention. -Administered by a specialist at the school. -The students at this level exhibit pattern misbehaviors. -A support plan will be developed by the specialist. -I will implement the suggestions while taking careful notes on progress, so I will have data which will help assess the progress of the students.
