Purpose: to learn the principle that Biblical leadership means ACTION
I Friendships Causing Compromise (vv 1-9) A. Eliashib and Tobiah Were Friends
Eliashib is referred to as high priest of the Temple (3:1; 3:28)… The point is Eliashib was one of the main religious leaders of God’s people in Jerusalem!
Tobiah was an enemy of God and a constant problem to Nehemiah… Tobiah is a classic example of the rebellious unbeliever who did anything to thwart the will and work of God!

Proverbs 31:20 “He who walks with wise men will be wise, but, the companion of fools will suffer harm.”
We need to have like mindedness, avoiding all companionships that lead to compromising the TRUTH!
