Unit 1: Introduction Definition: “The application of the theories, methods, facts and principles of psychology to people at work” ( Schultz) “ It concerns all aspects of human behaviour, thoughts, feelings and experiences concerning work” ( Arnold et al.)
Research methods in IOP • Questionnaires/ Psychometric tests • ( It assesses attitudes, personality, ability, IQ) • Interviews from individuals to group • Observation • Archival sources ( trends in organisation effectiveness e.g absenteeism, financial account)
