  1. April 11, 2014 Informational text test answers Homework: Have a great (and safe) Spring Break! :) Objective: I can demonstrate mastery of concepts learned throughout poetry unit. Warm Up (in your composition book) Take out a marker Get your orange I Ready book from the back. Turn to pg. 92 Building a Vivarium.

  2. Today we will be going over your informational text test. You will be grading someone else's paper. You need to follow all instructions EXACTLY as I give them to you!

  3. As we go through the right answers, check them on the paper in front of you. If the answer is right - DO NOTHING!!!! only mark INCORRECT answers with an X 1. A 2. B 3. C 4. D

  4. Author's Purpose 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

  5. Text structures - patterns of organization 11. 12. 13. 14. 15.

  6. 38. 39. 40. 41. 42. 43. Building a Vivarium pgs. 92-95

  7. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. The History of Aspirin: An Old Remedy Reexamined pgs. 75-78

  8. Now count up the total number of wrong answers (X's) and put that number at the top left corner of the paper. I will tell you what their score is. Put this number at the very top and circle it. - 6 78 grade total number of X's Informational text test answer sheet

  9. -11= 61 -12= 57 -13= 53 -14= 50 -15= 46 -16= 43 -17= 39 -18= 36 -19= 32 -20= 28 -1 = 96 -2= 93 -3= 89 -4= 86 -5= 82 -6= 78 -7= 75 -8= 71 -9= 68 -10= 64 * if you made below an 80, you can do test corrections (on a seperate sheet of paper) for ALL of the questions that you missed, and you will receive an 80. *

  10. All test corrections should be done on the back of your answer sheet. Put the number of the original item that you missed, and write out the question in its entirety, along with the complete right answer. NOT JUST THE LETTER OF THE CORRECT ANSWER! If you missed any on the TEXT structure section (section II), you need to put the information from the selection into the correct graphic organizer. So let's say some of the ones that you missed were 6 and 40. Here's how those would look on your test corrections...

  11. 6. An interview with former Carolina Panther, Steve Smith, on ESPN.com - inform 40. What additional information about vivariums can be gained from the labeled diagram? A- a person can reach inside a vivarium from a side wall, not only from the top lid. * You do this for ALLthe ones that you missed. Each one will earn you two additional points onto your original grade*
